I'm failing to see what's so special about this. Maybe it's because I've read it recently and after a bunch of other dystopian/utopian books, but considering the popularity and praise, I was expecting something awesome. The potential was there but the book was too short and should have gone for a chapter more at least. Not enough happened.

I also just saw the trailer for the film, looks like they changed a lot, which I don't mind as it;s not the kind of book you could be faithful too and put out a film for the masses, but it'd be pretty disappointing if a majority of the film isn't in grey, as the colour aspect was one of my few favourite parts of the book.

I remember reading this book a few years ago. I never really liked it, but everyone else was so in love with the book. Watching the trailer made me think that the book was just like I thought since the start kinda boring. But for some reason I still want to watch the movie...

I think they've changed it sufficiently enough to make it exciting. If they were completely loyal to the book this film would be boring
