I've just finished my second year of university and I think I've been given a 2.2 for this year.

My modules for first year were: (120 credits) Major in Law Minor in Business

Legal System and Skills - 60%
    Law of Contract - 60%
    Criminal Law - 56%
    Introduction to Management - 62
    Business Environment - 60%

Second year modules and marks: 120 credits, Law modules are 30 credits each

Equity and the Law of Trusts - 67%
    European Law - 57%
    Public Law - 52%
    Human Resource Management - 63% (15 credits)
    Organisational Behaviour - 50% (15 credits)

The university has said that the marking is a cascade system

    Three Year Schemes

    Band 3: Best 80 Level 3 credits, given a weighting of 3.
Band 2: Next Best 80 Level 3 and Level 2 credits, with a weighting of 2.
Band 1: Remainder of Level 3 and 2 and Level 1 credits, with a weighting of 1.

Can someone work out what I'm currently on, a 2.1 or a 2.2 because if I'm on a 2.2 I want to resit the year.

Are you not given an average for the year. It looks to me like you're on a high 2.2 though.

You cannot just resit the year because you got a 2.2 unless you have mitigating circumstances for most universities.

Suck it up and work harder next year.

    58% - a high 2.2

HOWEVER - If your Uni is anything like mine, then you study 120 credits for the year, and your lowest 15 get dropped. If that's the case, you have 59.3%

Either a high 2.2 - be sure to work harder next year.

Yeah, depends on the university so check the policy. My grade is an average of all modules.
