Durham or Trinity College Dublin?

I have to make htis decision now! Reputation wise, for careers later, socially, etc for history which would you pick and why?

Dublin

Personally I would pick Trinity. I went to visit it and its amazing! Has a really good reputation and also a great city for nightlife and shopping and so forth. Durham is a fantastic uni aswell but friends who has visited it (I havnt) said that the city is boring and that prevented them from accepting a Durham offer.

I would pick Trinity...it is the Oxford/Cambridge of Ireland. :smile:

It's got a great rep, great halls, great teaching standards, in the HEART of a great city, and I can go watch the GAA hurling finals for REAL!

I'm in the same boat as you, but i turned down durham after results came out, then got trinity offer and now i dont know whether to reapply or go to trinity!! between the 2 tho i would recommend trinity, my mates go there and love it, and dublin is a kickass place to be, plus the annual trinity ball is amazing, biggest ball in europe.
