BBC5's sensationalist and apparently live interview with a British man apparently fighting with the Islamic State in Iraq/Syria has hit the headlines.

Listen to it here: http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-28155683. I personally though it was poorly done and very obviously fake. Why? Because: 1. Everything is being done to subdue the Islamic State's viewpoint from being presented, i.e. books are banned and videos and accounts and websites taken down from the Internet, etc. So, I find it pretty funny that the BBC is allowed to air this interview. If it were real, that is. Therefore, it isn't real. 2. It doesn't tell us anything new about these people's viewpoint. It's the same old rhetoric about how the West is enemies with Islam etc. So, it has no objective, in effect (except further the idea that the people we're dealing with are loonies).

Vote REAL? OR FAKE? Just curious to know the general public's take on media stunts like this.

Don't be surprised that ISIS wants to share it's view of the situation. Remember all those videos that bin Laden managed to smuggle out to be broadcast?

Anyway, whether this is real or not, it wouldn't surprise me if that really is the opinion of some of the poor deluded militants out there.

Pathetic fearmongering from the mouthpiece of the state. Probably trying to butter us all up for another war or a bunch of new draconian "anti-terror" laws.

The BBC website in particular has such misleading headlines its basically click bait, misleading headlines like Putin Gay Kiss and the stories turn out to be something else.

One random person in Syria claims to black flag of ISIS will fly over Buckingham Palace WOW , go on the twitter feeds on EDL supporters they all claim to one day destroy the Kabah aka most holy muslim site in Saudi Arabia

Probably both fake and real at the same time.

Real in the sense that someone did call up for that interview, putting forth those opinions - and real that someone out there almost definitely does hold those opinions.
But fake in that the person who did the interview is most likely no more in Syria and fighting than is also the Tooth Fairy during his down time.

Whether it's real or not doesn't real matter. It is certain that some so-called British jihadists hold these views, and I'm sure some "moderate" Muslims agree with what is being said.

It is real according to most sources. No reason for it not to be. I'm assuming the bbc know Syria's IDC

The most disturbing part of the interview is near the end: "I totally admire those heroic lions" - referring to the 7/7 bombers.

    Lol

Why do these guys even exist? Why is there even one of them?

Aren't Muslims afraid of what's festering in their community?
