I interviewed for a position with a well known multinational company last Thursday. The day was very well organised and we were told we would know the outcome by email within 5 working days.

It's now been 6 days and I haven't heard anything. I know this company has a reputation for getting back to candidates late but could the lack of response thus far mean that I probably haven't got the job and I'll get a rejection email when they are bothered?

Multinational companies rarely give their feedback on time. I'm sure they'll say something to you on Monday. I know it's hard to have to wait the whole weekend, but try to keep your mind occupied! If you don't hear anything until then just give them a call.

Are late responses generally a sign that you've been unsuccessful? This was my dream job so I would rather accept that I haven't got it than falsely hold out hope.
