So I suffer from depression. I've been clinically depressed fora few months now.
For the past week, my days have consisted of waking up at 1-2pm, going to the library and reading for hours, before heading back home and surfing the net until the early hours of the morning. It's an endless cycle I really want to break free from.

The people I consider to be my friends have turned out to be nothing of the sort. They havent been there when i needed them to be, and are a huge let down because they refuse to do anything reckless. They dont like to drink or stay out later than 8pm (we're all 20, approaching our final year of uni, and they dont like staying out later than 8pm. Lord help me). I'm the opposite. I''m nocturnal, I love to stay out at night, and sleep as much as the day away as I can. But I've always thought I needed to do this in the company of others.

Now, I'm tired, but I dont want to go to bed. It's the 4th of July (yes, I know its not celebrated here but seeing how excited others are at the idea of staying out in their parks/lakes watching the fireworks for as long as possible does nothing but depress me further). I dont want to stay inside tonight, I frankly I dont care about being alone. I like being alone.

So my question to you all is this: what can I do or where can I go tonight? I want to go somewhere. As cliche as it sounds, I want to do anything but stay holed up in my room depressed.

How old are you? That's kind of a limiting factor x

The issue here seems to be your group of friends it seems you don't share the same ideas of socialising.

I know, there's not much I can do about that.
I just dont want to spend the night in my room as usual, as it makes me feel overwhelmingly depressed.

Don't ask for advice for this on here because ~90% of them are home when the night comes, myself included.

You could go to the cinema? I find it to be a really comforting place; the smells, the darkness, the loud sounds all make me feel real good and it's fine to do that alone.
