So, I'm not from the UK and English is not my mother tongue. However, I've read a lot of English literature and my language skills are quite good. I actually got an 8.5 in IELTS. I applied to Glasgow Uni to study English Language/English Literature and I was accepted, but now I've started worrying... I didn't do A Levels, I did the Greek exams, so I've never analysed English literary texts or done phonetics and stuff... I know lots of students come to the UK every year, but I think it's different with other subjects... For example Maths in Greece are taught in a very high level, so I'm guessing somene studying in the UK wouldn't have a problem... I'm just worried because I've never worked with English texts before, I've just enjoyed reading them... Anyone studying English in the UK, but not actually from the UK, what do you think?
