Yes and this is an argument of personal incredulity.

Often when people call things "ad hominem", I have noticed they use it incorrectly. I honestly think that they use it because it is a Latin phrase and makes them feel slightly arcane and badass.

Lastly, if you're going to talk to me like that, remember to tip your fedora

"ad hominem" since people are always (a lot on this site) not using it rightly.

edit: looks like someone else said it already
Glad someone else realises this +1

Haha, yes. Some of my friends seem to think saying 'carpe diem' makes them cool

I cringe when anybody uses this too much.

Seriously, sometimes I have to use a bus when the back of it is packed with "ghetto" year 7-9's shouting and just being intolerable in general.

Pseudo-intellectual vocabulary and pseudo-urban youth vocabulary. So many people pretending to be someone they are not, from trying to be Richard Dawkins to Dizzie Rascal. The whole 'alpha' and 'beta' thing is also pretty pathetic. Also hate reading 'white privilege'.

It's so much more insufferable than people saying stuff like "YOLO" and "Swag", because they actually think it sets them out as Victorian scholars or some other pathetic fantasy they have.
