I need advise for job in a restaurant Watch

    I was looking for a job this summer and i found one in a restaurant.I haven't work in a restaurant before and i don't wanna screw up.SO any advise?

    i'm in your exact same position, i'm starting a job in a posh hotel on saturday and i've never waitressed in my life before ahah! Hoping just not to drop any plates

    Don't worry about it they should train you. If they expect you to pick everything up after an hour they are idiots.

    First of smile and enjoy it. Don't let crap customers get under your skin but there will be at least two times where you will lose faith in humanity due to their attitudes/actions.

    Chefs are your friends, be nice to them and you might get a bigger/nicer meal.

    Don't gossip!!! News travels extremely fast in restaurants and gets greatly exaggerated.

    Showing up on time means ready for work at the beginning of your shift not showing up at the beginning then dawdling about to get ready.

    They would offer training, I would assume. Other than that, just be punctual and try your best.
