I'm contemplating taking up a delivery driver job next academic year, anybody ever done this? What's it like, what's the pay like, how many hours did you work. I'll probably be delivering on a scooter, so if anybody has any advice or tips it would be very helpful.

Not done any of this myself, but I would suspect that the hours will be on-call (in case someone calls in sick, or there are more deliveries needed than predicted). Pay will differ by company - each probably has a different rate, but they might all pay for travelling expenses such as fuel.

Sorry I cannot be of much more help, though.

I work at Dominos. I speak to the drivers regularly and they do have a rota in place, so you work on specific days. If you work on a quiet day they may just say you can go home early. Im on minimum wage and i've just started.

I'm assuming it's minimum wage? And do you know how many hours they work a week?

It depends really. Say if you can work everyday of the week they can try and put you in for everyday. It depends on what days you can work and if you tell them they can put you down for those days
