    Could anyone tell me how to get the exact value of cot30, using a table of exact values? I have the table of values for sin, cos and tan I just don't know what to so with it!

    You know that cot(x)= 1/tan(x) = cos(x)/sin(x), so....does that give you a clue?

    \tan30^\circ=\frac{1}{\sqrt3} so \cot 30^\circ= ?

    Thank you! I know it's quite an easy question but I was ill for a while and missed a lot of school so just trying to catch up and teach myself!
