a new form of slavery? old forms of slavery were a little obvious, but if one escaped they escaped, but this new slavery is impossible to escape. the media portrays slim girls, expensive designer clothing, perfect skin, photo shopping to look perfect, you can never escape it. an average middle class person struggles to save because if they purchase one luxurious item, they have nothing left.
