I've done tonnes of work experience and i was sure that i wanted to do medicine, until the doctors at my work experience this week told me its not worth it.
What would be my other options? Or what are your thoughts and comments?

Just have to say that your options are wide open with your A levels. So don't let that be an obstacle.

Well.....the hours are long especially when you first come out.
You can always become a GP. They generally have decent hours and a family life.
I am not working yet. Maybe if ask a Mod to change the thread to the medicine section, there will be more doctors that can help you.Last edited by DorianGrayism; 05-07-2014 at 19:50.

If you want to do medicine, then do medicine.
Loads of women study medicine now, there'll obviously be options if you want to have a family.

It's perfectly possible to have a family as a doctor though you may want to consider specialty choice carefully, particularly if you want to spend a lot of time with them.
