I'll try to explain what I'm getting at. Homosexuality has its down sides; the concept of it offends people, it ebbs away at traditional values; no doubt incest has the same down sides. However, arguing from a ubiquitous liberal standpoint one may say that we are all entitled to behave how we want provided we do not infringe on anyone else's liberty; if a brother and sister, both rational and consenting individuals, seek to be partners, why stop them?
Applying the rationale used to condone/support homosexuality, the liberal should condone/support incest. Unless, of course, the individual seeks to appear hypocritical and contradictory.
