I've been on microgynon for nearly 3 years and it's never caused me to feel ill, maybe you should go back to the doctors? It may be the pill, in which case they might change it, or it could be something completely unrelated

I felt nauseous for at least two months after taking it. Usually you try out a brand for three months to see if you get used to it, only in my case I was getting mood swings and was ravenous all the time so I switched to another brand after less than a year.
I never felt ill on it and i been taking it since i was 16, i took it for excruciating periods mind. Not what most people think lol. You should feel fine after your cycle settles.
I was on microgynon and was constantly naucious for 3months until I changed to Yasmin and I've been fine every since

I possibly had the worst ever reaction to the pill. Put it this way. I got SEVERE DEPRESSION. After my experience I would say to steer well clear of the contraceptive pill. You are playing with hormones that could be doing unknown damage to you body.

Damage implies permanancy, it seems your symptoms went away after you stopped taking the pill...

Also, OP, be aware that different pills will have different effects on you, so there is one out there that's right for you!
