So, basically, I've went on a gay hookup app, and I started talking to this really cute guy. He seems to be really great and he's the one who asked me out on the date. He asked for my Facebook details, so he could check out my pictures, and ever since, he hasn't really talked to me at all.

Basically, the date is in about 2 weeks, because he's in a different city than I, and I happen to be traveling there for my holidays. He seems like a really nice guy. But when I send him a message on Facebook, I can see he's seen the message, but he doesn't respond until hours later.

Is he ignoring me? I mean, he's the one who asked me out. Am I just getting irrationally anxious? WHen he does answer, he's nice. Just it always take hours after he's seen the message for him to reply.

    Thanks for any advice.

Maybe he's just thinking about what to say. The fact he replies means he isn't ignoring you or forgetting.

Some people read things when they check their phone when they are doing stuff and then reply to it later. Don't worry too much yet!

Give him some time, but at the same time, don't get your hopes up.

I don't know if it's just me, but when I see someone has messaged me, I tend to reply as quickly as I can, out of respect for the person. Is he just lazy or purposefully not replying?

People's lives shouldn't revolve around their phones. He might have just been quickly checking his messages before doing something & not had time to reply.

I'm glad to say all of you were right. He was just super busy. Thanks for the support in this nervous time.

Omg same with me! I find it rude if I reply after some time with the other person already knowing that I've read it. Unless if I'm purposely doing that to someone I don't like of course...
