Droped Laptop # media test failure, check cable # Watch

    can anyone help, i have a laptop i droped it and it now says

    "media test failure, check cable"

    What do i do??
    im guessing some sort of cable has disconnected, but which one and how do i get to it

    Hi,

    Can you go into your bios (press F2 or Delete while the laptop is booting up) and look for the Boot Device Priorities.

    If your hard drive is not at the top of the priority list, use the instructions to make it so, and then try loading up the laptop then.

    it wont let me

    it ignores the fact that i pressed f2 or delete.

    i pressed f12 it says boot menu.

    it has hdd/sdd
    usb
    odd
    fdd
    lan

    what now

    So harddrive/ssd is #1 in the priority list?
    Try making ODD #1 and then HDD/SDD #2, then booting up your pc

    and how do i change its priority

    It may look different visually but there should be a way to change the list and the buttons to do so should be listed somewhere on the screen

    Yes so do a backup of the files you want to keep.

    how do i backup the files if the computer won't take me to the desktop,

    and it says HDD/SSD NOT PRESENT
