I'm currently on a Checkout temp contract at my local tesco extra in Cornwall. I've done a summer temp last year but never transferred to my uni because I never got told until it was too late. I'm a temp again this year but at a different store and want to transfer to Bristol.

I've heard from a friend that it's going to be hard for me to transfer as I'm on a temporary contract whereas I've heard of temps transferring before?

Do you think I could transfer to stores in Bristol with ease or no?

I've been trained on Dotcom, Self scan and trying to get trained on Kiosk as well as being fully trained (even though I didn't need it) on checkouts. So hopefully 3/4 different forms of training will help me?

This is all for the September Transfer.

I'm going to apply for metros/expresses and extras online as well as ring up every store I write down. Sort of worried about it all, any help?

Why not ask management about transferring? They should be the ones who know best As for how easy it is, I wouldn't know, but for my company it is quite easy to transfer.

Yeah I had a manager offer to ring up for me but someone told me not to trust it cause it may go wrong.. But I'll probably apply online, ring myself, and get a manager to ring for me to see if that increases my chances :P haha

Ahh fair enough, you'd know more than me so I can't offer much advice. Good luck though!
