    Hi everyone,

So I got my IB results earlier on. Overall, very dissapointed with them. I was predicted around 36 points, and achieved 32 points overall. I got much lower than expected in 2 subjects, which dragged me down.
My offer from Exeter is 32 points BUT with a 5 on HL French. Now, that is why I am technically 'missed my offer' because I got 32 with a 4 on HL French. I am still shocked to this day that I got a 4 on HL French. I thought that I would get a 5 worst way, and hopefully a 6, but never a 4.
Anyway, how likely do you think it is that Exeter will take me? It's not looking good since I screwed up the most important subject for my course!

    Thanks in advance!

You should wait a little longer between posts before you bump them. No one knows for sure if Exeter will take you. Since you technically did not meet the requirements, they don't have to accept you. But that doesn't mean they won't. What course are you going to study?

The best thing you can do is call them. How far away were you from a 6?

I got a 4 and needed a 5 (was predicted a 6). Don't ask me how that happened lol. I am still shocked about that.

I guess I need to call them tommorrow, but it's not looking good.

    Around 4% I think.
The marking was definitely harsher this year. Nearly everyone I know got lower than expected, and even the native French speakers didn't get their level 7's!

HL marking is always tough for languages. SL is much more lenient. Call Exeter tomorrow.

I hope I get a decision tommorrow, and don't have to wait until August lol.
