Why don't they attack the porn industry? Many of these women are emotionally destroyed from the abuse they take on and off of camera which is why so many turn to alcohol and drugs. The industry is rotten and only makes men view women as pieces of meat there to be used for their pleasure. Most porn stars are young naive girls lured into the industry by money and either end up dead or broke. Some feminists push the idea that female promiscuity is empowering which simply makes women more likely to try porn.So where are all the feminists against the porn industry?

Why don't they attack the porn industry?
Because it's a bigger waste of time than whatever they're wasting their time on instead?

Many of these women are emotionally destroyed from the abuse they take on and off of camera which is why so many turn to alcohol and drugs.
And who is forcing them to stay in the industry, of course there will be the slave cases, but I am inclined to think that the majority of the time they could just walk out the door if they really wanted.

The industry is rotten and only makes men view women as pieces of meat there to be used for their pleasure.
Since when was the opinion of a few regarded as the opinion of the masses outside of feminism or similar movements?

    Most porn stars are young...
Well, assuming we are talking about young but still legal, they're the ones most in demand and therefore obviously most will be, older women are much more of a niche market.

...naive girls lured into the industry by money and either end up dead...
    Ok? Well that escalated quickly.

    ...or broke.
I assume you mean financially, in which case, most people on that sort of wage would be pretty broke if they lost their job and didn't get another.

Some feminists push the idea that female promiscuity is empowering which simply makes women more likely to try porn.
Can't say I've heard that one before.

so where are all the feminists against the porn industry?
Who knows, maybe trying to find somebody that will listen to them rather than pointing out how broken their argument probably is.

    Lol, u mad bro?
Have a look at Women Against Pornography if you want, but I suspect trolling.
It's their choice if you want to do porn, IMO. Yes, there's coercion, but there are also legal safeguards against it, yes? Depends where it is, though. Personally, I think it's better to campaign for legal safeguards than it is to simply ban porn or something. If it's illegal, it'll still happen, but it'll be more unsafe.

If they really wanted to do something worthwhile, rather than just focusing on the issue that affects them in the first world, they'd be ending third world poverty. Admittedly I think being anti-genital mutilation is good work and lots of other stuff relating to the treatment of women in certain cultures, and I'd say I'm a feminist, even on first world issues, but given the choice, I'd probably focus on the bigger issues in the world than first world, middle class feminism.

Because pornography doesn't necessarily have to be exploitive (or at least, any more exploitive than any other form of wage labour). Though that isn't to say that exploitation doesn't occur in the porn industry, it does and needs to be challenged.
