    Hello, everyone!
I am a student from Romania and I just got my Baccalaureate exam results today. My firm choice (University of South Wales) asked me for an 8 average on the exam (here we have marks from 1 to 10). I went to see my results today and I scored a 7.55.
Now, my question is, what do I do about it? Do I call them once I get my Diploma on Monday and explain the situation, or just wait and see if I can go on Clearing?
Please help me, I already feel hopeless about the entire situation and am too scared to submit anything for a remark, since the teachers here are very subjective and I've heard many cases of students getting lower marks after they did so.

Firstly, don't panic. Universities can, and do, accept students who miss their offers and until they let you know that they have rejected you, you still are in the game. You may have to wait until A level results day to see what happens, but you may not, and you should call them to see what is going to happen in your case. Read this as a guide:

I'm actually in a similar situation
Don't feel hopeless, they have not rejected you yet!
Also, do you an insurance choice, if so, did you meet that offer?

I do, but they also ask for the 8 average, unfortunately!
I'm sorry you're going through the same thing!

Yes, I read that, thank you! I hope they will consider this as an IB, even though my Baccalaureate is a bit different than the IB.

Just write a letter/emai to the uni with you results and explain the situation. And also speak to a teacher or careers adviser. Hopefully they'll still offer you a place
