I'm interested to see the userbase distribution/popularity of operating systems amongst TSR users. So with that in mind, what is the main operating system you use on your primary computer (desktop/laptop)?

    From most to least common:
    Windows 7
    Windows 8
    CrunchBang

I'll vote for Windows 7 since that's my most used one.

    Win 7.

It's the only sensible choice for gaming.

Mostly Windows 7 (games, etc...). I do have an Ubuntu partition and another partition for a VERY basic operating system/kernel that I made in X86 assembly. When I say "operating system", it doesn't really do anything but print some text to the screen and restart the computer (if you want it to).

I want to replace my Ubuntu partition with Solaris 11 at some point.

Mostly OSX but I do have Ubuntu on a partition of my memory stick which I use regularly for when I do 3D printing.
There's also a Windows computer in our house but I try to stay away from it.

What about 8, 8.1 [and vista, I guess]?

Mac OS X mostly but we also have a WIndows 8 PC at home.

I've grown to like Macs, the interface makes so much more sense than the current iteration of Windows.

Can't be doing with the UI of 8 or 8.1. Vista is a resource hog.

I've got multiple for different reasons.
So instead of a single one, I'll just list them, unordered as I use them somewhat evenly.

    • Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 x64
    • Windows 8.1 Pro With Update (Weirdest name ever) x64
    • Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard x64
    • Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x64
    • Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS x64
    • CentOS 7.0 x86_64

I do realise most of these are not some that would normally be considered to be everyday use, but listed them anyways.

EDIT: I re-read the question, and to answer that question, I primarily use Windows 8.1 Pro as listed above.

Win 7 because it's the best windows OS they've created.

If I had the money, it'd be Mac OSX but I don't

Windows 8 Pro and Ubuntu 12.4 which I barely use. Windows 7 is installed but I no longer use it.

I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu. I use Ubuntu as my everyday OS and only switch to Windows for playing games that require Windows.
