    Hi everyone,

I have been looking into gap year programmes on gapyear.com and found myself on smallerearth.com reading up about a working and travelling programme in Australia. They don't cover the flights, insurance, visa etc. It just claims to pick me up from the airport, drop me off at a hostel where I will stay for two nights, sort me out with a bank account, phone sim card, membership to the youth hostel association and provide me with constant assistance to get a job.

This sounds good to me but I just thought i'd ask if anybody can confirm if this is genuine. Has anybody been on a programme through Smaller Earth? If so please share your experience with me so that I can be confident and begin to plan the trip of a lifetime.

    Thanks

George if you want to go to Australia you should check out AusJob. They are also verified on twitter. Their website is www.AusJob.co.uk

An employee of Smaller Earth registered an AmeriCamp Url (www.Ameri.Camp), so make your own mind up on how they do business... but if we can be of any help then please let us know. x

I have experience of on of the Smaller Earth businesses, Camp Leaders, who sent me to summer camp in America last summer and will be doing again in 2015. To answer your question, yes it's a genuine company and from my personal experience, it provides great customer service too.
