    Hi Mark,

I am planning on applying for graduate entry medicine 2015 entry. However, I may have the opportunity to work in France between now and then. I am wondering how this would affect my eligibility for student finance and fulfilling the 'ordinarily resident' requirement?

I am an independent student, British citizen and have lived in the UK since birth.

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi,

If you will be on a temporary period abroad, and can provide evidence to confirm this (such as a temporary contract confirming employment start and end dates from your employer) would would still be able to claim funding for your 2015 studies.

Please note each case is assessed on an individual basis. If you wish to discuss this further before working overseas, please call us on 0300 100 0607.

    Thanks
