    I was just reading this.

    There isn't really a postgraduate course for this though I have seen that Cranfield has a defence economics course for professionals.

    So a degree in economics and then apply to the MOD?

    To be an economist for the MOD you would have to apply for the Economist Fast Stream and put MOD as your top choice department. If you got placed elsewhere then you'd probably have to do 2 years in that other department and then look for lateral transfer opportunities over.
