I got my student finance payment details (dates etc) through the post a few days ago. However, on the letter giving my bank account details my sort-code is five digits (the starting 0 has been omitted). The details on my SFE online account has the full six-digit sort-code.
Will my payments be made into the correct bank account with the full sort-code? I'm not sure, but I'm assuming that the details have been entered into something like Microsoft Access which omits starting 0s for numbers for the letter.
I didn't want to sign the declaration form in case there is a valid issue with the sort-code.

When we issue correspondence confirming bank details, Sort Codes and Account Numbers beginning with '0' have the first digit omitted.
We can assure you that your complete bank details will be registered, and that you should proceed with returning your signed declaration form to us.
