Nope, it would probably only be in January or June that you could sit a paper

Do you mean can you study gcse again for another year at college rather than move on to a level or other study? Some colleges offer the chance to do this in the core subjects. Check what is on offer at local colleges.

Or do you mean can you do some resits alongside other new study? In which case the answer is yes. Maths and English can be done in November usually at your sixth form but possibly as a private candidate back at school or elsewhere. For other subjects you need to ask what is the point, is there anywhere that will let you do it as a private candidate, will the dates fit in your summer exam schedule and will it reduce your chance to do well in sixth form exams.

If you're joining Year 11 in September, or even if you are joining college, then speak to your school's examination officer and they will advise you

You can only do resits in June now - they've removed January exams I believe.

Maths and english resits can be taken in November, all other GCSE's can now only be taken in the summer (May/June) period.

You won't be able to retake the GCSE exams in September, they can only be resat in May/June (Summer) or November if it's English Language or Maths.

You will be able to do GCSE courses (learning the GCSE subject again) in September however at college/sixth form.
