This is something I have been wondering. Does EVERYONE drink at uni? Whenever I hear about people who have come back all they seem to talk about is going out getting pissed. It really irritates me how this is all it seems to be about these days; university is such a privilege and if all you're going to do is get drunk what is the point?
I don't drink - do you think people would think I'm weird at uni, would it make it harder to make friends etc?

    Any advice welcome

it would not. Yes drinking can be social and for some its fun in excess. However there's plenty of other ways to be social and to build up some good friends, club organisations are a great place to start - look at your chosen university's club list and get involved!
