France 2 is a good place to catch up on news - http://www.francetvinfo.fr/replay-jt/france-2/

You can watch French news on the internet until the cows come home but unfortunately they're really strict with their other shows - most of them won't play if you're not in France (which isn't exactly promoting Francophonie imho!).

If you go to the Pluzz.tv homepage (http://pluzz.francetv.fr/) which is basically iPlayer for France Télévisions, a message should pop up asking if you want to be re-directed to the list of programmes available from abroad. It's still quite a long list even if it's not the most thrilling/up to date stuff - lots of regional programmes and repeats of old programmes!

www.rfi.fr - the website for Radio France Internationale. If you go to the "Apprendre" tab you will find loads of clips of news items (with transcripts after the questions) and also the daily news "en français facile" (this comes on early in the morning; the transcript gets posted later on in the day).

Euronews! Totally awesome language resource - just pick your language from the drop-down menu, and then it'll have all different news videos with transcripts below.
