    Hello,
I work as a hotel night manager in a small privately owned business. I've been there for four years now. I started as an apprentice and then after the first year the owner decided to keep me on.

Unfortunately, the hotel has been going down hill lately. Not with the popularity of the place, but the staff. Allot of staff have been leaving lately and I am tired of new people coming to work with us and not willing to be part of the team. I am finding these people unbearable and I can not work with them.

I have plans for my next career move. I have been applying to work as cabin crew but have not had any interview invites. I am taking a math course to boost up my grade and improve my CV. I am also taking a course in cabin crew to help me get on my way.

I feel if I were to quit my job now and dedicate my time to searching for a new job I would be much more successful. My current job feels like nothing but a distraction and I am not going to get in a better position than I am now, no matter how hard I work.

I still live at home with my parents and they do not charge me rent. So I have managed to save allot of money. I look after my finances and have been saving for an event such as this.

I suppose I am looking for some reassurance and direction as I am not 100% clear on what I should do. Hence why I am writing this post. I have an aim for my career and right now I do not feel like I am doing the right thing. Some advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Why don't you go talk with your parents first? You could get good advice.

I'm wondering the same thing. My current job is making me extremely miserable so I hate the thought of having to go in 5 times a week.

I would love to hand in my notice
