What's the safest way for an older person to start exercising? Watch

    If there concerns about your blood pressure or anything like that effecting your exercising then speak to your GP before doing anything to different from your norm. Assuming all is good then there's really not much different from younger person.

    You can't loose weight in specific areas, you just need to loose it. You need to make a lifestyle change so you need to find exercise that you enjoy so you will stick at it. You need to move more and what that movement is doesn't really matter because you're not training for sport so try different things- classes, running, lifting, sports, hill walking, whatever really. Try to do specific exercise 3/4 times a week but on other days try to move more too with something gentler like walking part the way home if you normally get the bus.

    And remember the other half of it is diet.
