I was out with a group of friends and spoke to a male acquaintance in the group. Another guy and girl (not really friends with them) started to whisper putting their hands over each other's ears as they spoke. I thought they were talking about us as they kept looking over. The guy I spoke to even said he felt like he was being watched and looked over them (the guy and girl are his friends). I left 2 minutes later. I left feeling rubbish, I just don't like people being rude by whispering and it made me feel unsettled.
They are always trying to set this guy up with someone and I don't know why we can't have an innocent chat. Me and my friends have noticed this girl never speaks to the other women. She put on Facebook recently she doesn't have female friends - it's like she finds them threats.

I don't understand the point of this thread? But if you want an opinion, then yes, they were being quite rude to whisper in the presence of others; but they may not be speaking about you. You could be paranoid. Just ignore it either way, although I find it very annoying when people assume something is happening; because I am talking to someone of the opposite sex.

It was rude to whisper when they were around other people, although we have no idea if it was about you it might have been because they kept looking at you, but there are other reasons they might have been looking
She may just find males easier to get along with and to an extent I agree that they are, females can be really, really *****y
