Hi. I'm an undergrad at Leeds Uni, due to personal circumstances I have not completed my second year and took temporary leave.
things didn't get any easier and so I had been contemplating transferring universities and finishing my two years away from home.
I hadn't been able to come to a decision for a long time and finally have done since last week. My student support officer made transferring sound so easy without mentioning it may be contingent to a deadline.
I have read that 30th June is the deadline for Ucas applications- have I missed any chance of a transfer or is it still possible? I'm panicking.

please any help would be really appreciated
thanks

Did you apply after the deadline though? I've not made any enquiries. I'm a little unsure how to go about this. Whether I mention my circumstances in the email I send to the admissions tutor or should it be brief?
It's Cardiff University I'm looking to apply to

If you have any tips thank you

i did access to HE, i applied to UWE and birmingham city, as well as others. i firmed birmingham city because i was out of time (i firmed on deadline day). UCAS deadline came around and went and UWE came up as a rejected, however i got an email from their admissions saying they still wanted to interview me and that they only rejected me through UCAS because of the deadline and UCAS would not let them extend it. i had my interview and got offered the place, i decided to stick with birmingham city as im the first person to do their architecture program from an access course (its good C.V bragging rights!)

no the application was before the deadline. ur best bet is to phone the uni and actually speak to someone within the department. i found everyone i dealt with within both UWE and birmingham city, very warm and welcoming, they really went out their way to help me.

Thanks for the reply 😊
Realistically, what are my chances? My first year grades are quite good varying from high 2:2s to firsts. I have compelling circumstances and come from a fellow Russell group uni- is it still possible or will they question me as to why I didn't pay attention to a deadline?

Nobody but the university in question can give you the reassurance you are seeking. You are going to have to talk to them. Anyone on here can only speculate or talk about their experience, which is likely to have no relevance to yours.
