OK, so earlier this year I was lucky enough to be accepted on a mental health nursing course at Teesside uni. Problem is I recently had my DBS check back & it turns out I have a caution, which I thought was a slap on the wrists for Actual Body Harm. Actual Body Harm (cat fight). This happened 11 years ago and now it has come back to bite me in the arse. Anyone know if this is going to affect my chances of getting on the course I have been accepted for, really panicking now.

you need to phone the uni and tell them what happened. It was a long time ago and they don't expect people to be perfect, what they do need it honesty and you have to declare it. They may ask you in to further explore the issue but don't think this is the end, it most probably won't be.
