Hi!!! As many UK and international students, I'm waiting anxiously for the result that coming out on 14thAugust. I finished all the Edexcel exams on 24thJune and came back home on 27thJune. When I arrived home, I got jet lag for a few days so I couldn't do anything..Therefore, unfortunatelly, I found out that I was a late applicant for accommodation at my firm university choice ( I think the deadline of almost all universities is 30thJune--> after that, universities cannot guarantee you a place in a hall-which is the place I'd like to apply and they will only consider late applicants on mid-August).So what can I do now? Still fill the online form and make a deposit? And what if I can't meet the offer, do I have my deposit back? Do I also need to book a place for my insurance university choice?? Thank you very much!!!!

There is no harm in applying, better to be on a waiting list. I've seen students on a waiting list secure a room in halls.

Only if uni. accom. guarantees you a place they will ask for a deposit...unless I'm missing something here.

You should also start looking at private accommodation.

Best if you reach the accommodation team at uni asap and explain your situation.
