I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, he pulled out but I still want birth control, do I need the morning after pill? Or something else?

Go to boots and ask for the morning after pill (within 72 hours of sex). Its free and you get seen by a pharmacist.
I doubt you are pregnant if he pulled out but ofc its always safer with contraception.

Where are you in your cycle?

What you want depends, in part, on what you're going to do about contraception from now on.

As Holson already said the morning after pill. The copper coil can also be used as emergency contraception up to five days after sex and can just be left in after that as birth control if you wish; I do understand that some girls aren't keen on the idea though.

Do I just ask at the medicine counter bit in boots? (I've never done this before clearly)

At the pharmacy section of boots, yeah. Ask if you can see a pharmacist about the morning after pill. You'll probably wait a few mins then you'll see them like a doctor and they'll ask you a few questions

The free availability varies. The NHS website has a page where you can look up where offers it (and to whom) near you.
