health check for PGCE course

does anybody know what this involves and how much do mental health issues affect the likelihood of passing it?

Well for me the check consisted of me filling in a massive questionnaire about health issues.

I guess if there was anything they wanted to check up on over it they'd ask for more details. You might have ahd to send off evidence of medical problems anyway with the form, but I can't quite remember.

My experience is the same as the other replies - a questionaire to fill in! I was under the impression when I applied that I'd have to go through a medical examination!

When people fill out the questionaire and mention an illness, only then do unis really contact your GP or ask about more details.
I do think you need to give them your GP's details though.
