Movie Madness is an event pitting 64 films against each other in a tournament where only one will triumph (to find out more, click here).
Who will progress to the next round? You decide.

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
One of only three films to collect the top five Oscars (best picture, best director, best actor, best actress, best screenplay), this film debuted Hannibal Lecter to the world as one of the most iconic horror antagonists of all time, despite only appearing on-screen for a little over 16 minutes.

    The Prestige (2006)
Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman are on top form as warring magicians, formerly friends and partners but now bitter rivals, both obsessed with perfecting the ultimate illusion whilst destroying the other. Christopher Nolan takes a complex tale, full of flashbacks and multiple time-streams, and delivers a dazzling tale of obsession, secrecy and sacrifice in what may well be Inception's stylish older brother. The Prestige must surely be one of cinema's greatest magic tricks ...... abracadabra!

Two superb films, both would be worthy group winners. A tie in my head, but the heart gives it to Chris Nolan's magical tale.

Silence - won 'best actor' with the shortest time on screen too.

The Prestige - it's interesting, but the book is much better.

They are both ridiculously good, it's a shame that they can't both win.

I like The Prestige, a lot, but Silence of the Lambs is the greatest thriller ever made, have watched it countless times.

Seen both. The Silence of the Lambs absolutely slaughters The Prestige for me.

    Did you watch it?

I would say Silence of the Lambs is approximately 20 times better than The Prestige.
