Got a bit of an Ich problem. I recently added a pair on anthias to the DT, and my butterflyfish seems to have come down with Ich

Am nitrite/nitrate are all fine, so I'm assuming it's just the stress of his new companions.

Anyway, he's into the QT now, but condition is worsening. Any ideas? Considering treating with copper and garlic but meh.

The diet, pH and nitrate levels are all fine?

I'd just start a treatment to be honest.

Yea everything is normal in the DT. Only changes lately were the new friends. Can't treat that with copper as it'd kill corals inverts etc and send ammonia skyrocketing killing everything. :p:

I could just treat mr butterflyfish in the QT with copper, and hope the others don't develop it? Or should I try treating with low SG (hyposalinity) - would 1.008 be ok for a butterfly?

Yeah that's what I'd go for. I'm not sure as I've only ever kept freshwater myself but I'm sure you could get that info on the net somewhere.
