    Hi all,

So I've just finished my first year at AS Levels, I did English Lang, history, BTEC p.e and religious studies.

It's been a story of two halves. I've done well in English Lang (I think) and BTEC P.E, and awful in history and religious studies (ran out of time on the exams).

I want to study business and management at uni, so know I need to get at least ABB at A Levels, which I know won't happened. I made a few wrong subject decisions when enrolling to sixth form college last August. I have 13 GCSE's at A*-C by the way.

Now the plan is to go to college and to an Extended Diploma in Business (2 years).

    A few questions..
When applying to uni's will they ask why I switched etc. and take it in a bad way?
Do good uni's accepted extended diplomas at say DDM?
How much will it effect me going to Uni a year later than everyone else?

Any replies would be appreciated, especially if anyone has or is going through similar.

Majority of unis won't really care too much that you have taken another year, especially if you get decent grades

Yes, many universities accept Btecs - You can quickly google / look through university prospectuses and look for their Btec entry requirements. I recall someone mentioning that you can get into lots of good places like Nottingham, Newcastle & Surrey with DDD
