I was wondering how many of you on here are looking to apply to Birmingham medical school in 2016. Also, any advice on how to get in (other than the obvious required grades). Is there anything I can do to put on my CV to help me stand out?

I have done a 9 days worth of work experience around hospitals and a special needs centre for children. I plan on doing another two weeks or so in the next two years.

    Thanks in advance!

Two weeks in two years sounds exceptionally unambitious. Get some regular volunteering work.

You don't apply with a CV.

Thanks for the advice but I meant another two weeks in a placement at a hospital, which is very difficult to get ahold of these days. I already do regular volunteering.

I am fully aware that I don't apply with a CV but Birmingham states that they require at least two weeks of work experience in hospital or related environments so I will need to have some convincing proof that I will be dedicated with the idea of becoming a Doctor.

My apologies for not being more clear.
