Preferably something with a structure to topics and not too complex (first year stuff).

If you're looking for things fun and interesting, I can't recommend The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene (or really anything by him) strongly enough. And several ideas prevalent on the first year of a physics course are discussed in the book, providing a nice background when you begin to learn about them at degree level.
If you're looking to read up on the course before it starts (and I wouldn't recommend that you do - you'll be doing more than enough physics over the next 3 years) then Young and Freedman''s University Physics follows most first year physics courses both in the UK and the US pretty accurately.
