Yup, pretty sure you can. Although I don't know how competitive it is, nor how one would do it.

It's very much dependent on the Airport in question. I did my Year 10 Work Experience at my "local airfield", albeit 45 minutes away. Having done research into it at the time, it seemed to me that it is easier to find a placement at smaller or regional airfields as the big ones don't have the time, money or resources to offer you a placement. I would suggest looking around for your nearest airport and getting in touch with them by email. You really need to plan it out in good time, I was sorted by the November of the year before I was going to attend the placement in May. Places are usually ridiculously competitive and sometimes the airfield may prioritize placements to local schools. I live out of the county of the airport I wanted to visit so I gave myself plenty of time to sort it all out. Being out of county meant I got very little support from my school and additional health and safety checks had to be done as the airport wasn't on the work experience database. It's a lot of effort to sort out, but if you really want it, as I did, then you'll be willing to put time into organising it all. I wish you the best of luck, it really is worth the effort. I got to visit the Tower and learn about all the ATC stuff, I went out with the fire crew for training and setting stuff on fire, I helped a private jet movement company design some spreadsheets and spent a morning in "Briefing", which involved me being on the front desk at the airport. It was one of the best weeks I've experienced.
