Do you know the weighting for each of the modules? (i.e. what percentage each module contributes to the overall mark)

    Ah, good old BTEC days.

Bit of research came up with this: http://www.edexcel.com/i-am-a/studen...ade-(qcf).aspx
Hope it helps - seems to make sense.

I suppose as you are just after the first year results: if both years have the same amount of modules and weighting, simply half the boundary score needed (shown for both years combined).

    EDIT: this too: http://www.slideshare.net/pgmckillop...ing-your-grade
With those grades, you just need to know how many more points you need to meet your required grade boundary.

You should get your grades on results day this year so I wouldn't panic too much about working them out now. You'll probably get something like DM as you don't get the third grade until after second year.

Hi I'm studying health and social level 3, I've just finished first year coming out with an MM. Is it still possible to get an overall grade of DMM or DDM??

If you are doing the extended diploma and just finished your first year, its far too early to tell whether you got DMM or DDM since you haven't even done the second year modules which will contribute to the final mark. At this point you can look back and work out how many distinctions, merits and passes you need next year to get your desired grades.
