Hi there I'm a 3rd year Pharmacy Student at Aston University, just wanted to ask has anyone had hospital placements for applying for hospital pre reg?
Also can someone tell me the difference between community pharmacy and hospital pharmacy?

Community - constant patient interaction, more business focused, generally your end role will be as a store manager, smaller team, less clinical.
Hospital - more clinical, generally more interesting, larger team, generally poorer pay, harder to get into.
Obviously this is a massive summary, if you have more specific questions about either career then I will try and answer them.

How much would you say the pay difference was?
I was looking at some other forums where people were strongly suggesting to not take Pharmacy because the field is over saturated. Do you think this is the case?
I later searched available jobs at the moment and they ranged between £25, 000 - £36, 000 per annum or around £20 per hour (I hope I quoted correctly). But they were for Level 6/7- how do these levels work? On the NHS website it was explaining as sort of a ladder?
Last thing (sorry)- if someone asked you why you wanted to be a pharmacist what would you say?
