Thales mainly. I was told that assessment centres have a general format.

Firms all do things differently. PwC for example have numerical and diagrammatic tests, a written report and a group exercise. Aviva have the tests and the group exercise, but also a role play and a presentation.

Can you find out what the activities are? It would be easier to help you then.

If you haven't done the tests before, practice online. SHL and other sites have practice papers.

For the group exercise, make sure you get your points across without being dominating. If someone is quiet, try and bring them into the conversation. And keep an eye on time. If you come to a decision early, go back over everything. The most important thing is to let your assessor know you are doing this stuff. Something as simple as 'We've got ten minutes left, perhaps we should start ruling some ideas out now'.

For the presentation, be confident and don't speak too quickly. Make sure you include facts and figures and come to a conclusion.

    Hope this helps.
