Does anyone know which Deaneries are notorious for having a long number of hours a week spent working as a Junior?

I've heard bad things about Wales, though free accomodation on site as an f1 at least should mean next to no commuting time.

I don't think there will be much difference between deaneries but more with individual jobs. For example where i am based the F1 in critical care was supernumerary and so worked 8:30-5 often leaving before this with 3-4 medical on calls a month (ie working until 8 when the night team then took over). However when the same F1 was working in upper gi surgery he regularly worked 7:30-7/8 due to the centre being tertiary and the surgeons not really providing much support.

A deanery is a huge region. Some deaneries are more than three counties wide. You'd need to focus on specific rotations at specific hospitals to get useful answers.
