I just finished my HND at college and I am considering doing the bsc top up at a uni to give me the full degree, but my question is how would the top up be graded when i complete it, will what i got for hnd be counted and go towards my bsc top up classification?or do i somewhat start again and they only use my final year grades?
i would imagine the classification would be solely based on my performance in the top up as it would mean them doing two sets off calculating in different qualifications?

can't see how it could be anything other than based totally on your results in the BSc - they can use an awarded qualification to make up credits (allowing you to bypass part of the course) but you can't be given marks twice from one qualification... but as always the exact regulations will vary by uni and course.

They wouldn't be though if the HND was counted. The HND is the first two years of uni and the top up the 3rd year.

yeah bypassing 2 years of a BSc is a credit transfer, not necessarily a marks transfer.

I've certainly heard of people transferring into the final year of bachelors with HNDs and Fds... but never carrying marks over to the degree classification - their degree classification was based totally on their one years assessments on the bachelors course.
