    Hello Everyone,

I an currently studying a MEng in Civil engineering at the university of strathclyde and I am thinking of doing a MSc in Subsea Engineering at the university of Aberdeen. I was wondering of anyone else has done a MSc in subsea engineering, with a civil engineering background, and whether you have found it easy or hard and also in general how the course was?

Also would you consider doing a BEng in Civil Engineering and then a MSc in subsea or MEng in civil?

    Your help is much appreciated.

Not so much a direct answer to your question (I've already given my opinion), but does Strathclyde also not do an MSc in subsea engineering? If so, might also be worth a look, as you might also get a decent alumni discount.

    Thanks for the reply Smack.

As far as i'm aware, the Subsea engineering course at Strathclyde is not accredited by any institution. Plus I'd rather do it at Aberdeen at it will be easier to get a job after completing it at Aberdeen rather than Strathclyde.

Okay, fair enough. The Aberdeen course certainly does have good links with industry, and is accredited by a host of relevant professional institutes.
