I'm also interested in this, thinking of getting a room in Revis Barber halls and would like to know what I'm letting myself in for.
I replied to this thread a few days ago but my post never seems to get past the mods for some reason.

I have lived there last year, and I am staying on for this year as well. I think it`s a really nice place, and for the prices it has, the rooms are very good quality, all looking new and very clean. The staff there is really nice as well, and they solve problems really quick. Like once my toilet got blocked and when i went to the reception to report it, they called the handyman and he unblocked it just then. Also this year they are going to install 30 MB wifi in all the buildings which I think is great- compared to the green and Arkwright( I have a few friends staying there and apparently the internet is very slow). As for the distance to uni is like 5-10 min away, depending on your pace.

Hey. I`ll be staying at Universal Student Living this year as well. The rooms are quite big and newly furnished. And I heard that starting with this September they will get 50MB wifi in all the buildings and build a study room. I have stayed there for the past two years, in Revis and I really liked it. Not mentioning that they have quite low prices compared to the rest of the accommodation sites. And is only like 10 min away from the uni, 2.5 min if you are late lol
Hahaha, that's soo true, you never know how fast you can be when your late! Lol. So you'll be a final year? Xx

I'm going to be living in Haria, simply because it's about 2-3 minutes away from uni. It's a lot more affordable than The Green, where I lived last year.

I've also chosen universal student living cause out of all other options this one looks the least dodgy. But I have to ask, what is their stance on torrenting? It would be rough without utorrent for me.

    Hi

We want people to get the most out of their accommodation, and expect people be sensible when it comes to the internet. We also expect students to follow the law and Terms and Conditions given when they sign up to the internet service. However we don't block any site unlike other service providers.

We have some great features on site like a cinema that shows movies 3 nights a week (and the screen is a *little* bigger than a laptop!) and free super fast WIFI with unlimited connections available! So phone, tablet, laptop, TV and games console can all be online together in harmony!

Don't forget to join out Facebook group for all residents!

    Hope this helps

    Hi Rachel

Thanks for the response. I have read and signed the Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement and, if I'm not wrong, it says that regarding the internet service we just have to abide by the terms and conditions set out by the university itself, which i feel is quite vague. So I'm still not clear on this because the word 'sensible' can be interpreted differently from person to person.

I’ve had a quick scan through this thread and can see there has been very little talk about the Green Accommodation. As a result I thought I’d quickly make this post…

The Green is a purpose-built £40 million student village at the City Campus, putting students right at the heart of the University’s academic studies, student facilities, support services and social activities. The Green provides a hugely welcoming and sociable environment for students living away from home for the first time, getting your university journey off to the perfect start. The majority of our first year Undergraduate students stay at our Green Accommodation.

The Green offers you the best of both worlds – a secure and self-contained community minutes away from all our campus facilities and just a short stroll from the city centre. The Buildings are arranged as a small village, with rooms available either in apartments with six en-suite bedrooms or 12-bedroom townhouses. At the centre of the village is 'The Orchard' which is central hub building that has the Accommodation and Management office and laundrette. The Orchard overlooks a biodiversity pond and offers a host of places to meet, socialise and relax within its attractive landscaped gardens.

There is a real sense of community. We have a social community scheme called the Green Associations, which is run by the Green Ambassadors. The idea is to organise a series of events which are both fun and interesting, but that also bring everyone together so that everybody living at The Green feels part of the community.

Further information about our Student Accommodation can be found on our website at http://www.bradford.ac.uk/student/accommodation/.

We would also encourage you to view the following video to get a more real feel for the village and accommodation: http://bit.ly/1vg34W2

Hopefully you all find this information helpful and if anyone would like further information about anything at all relating to the University of Bradford please do get in touch.
